Copyright and DMCA Complaints
The main route for every kind of illegal content, including copyright, is the illegal-content reporting page under the EU Digital Services Act. This page explains ordinary objections and an optional US DMCA format. You do not need to use the US format to report an infringement or challenge a moderation decision under EU law.
This page provides a contact route for copyright owners and their authorized representatives to report material they believe infringes their rights. It is not a copyright registration. Publishing this contact information does not determine ownership in the United States or create a U.S. ownership determination. It is also not a claim that WorldFolder is registered in the U.S. Copyright Office's designated-agent directory or automatically qualifies for any statutory safe harbour.

Notice process (DMCA format)
Send one complete written notice by email to hello@worldfolder.com:
- Identify yourself. Give your full legal name, postal address, telephone number, and email address. If you represent the owner, identify the owner and explain your authority in writing.
- Identify the copyrighted work. Give the title and a URL or other reference that reasonably identifies the work for which you claim infringement. If the notice covers only one part, identify that part.
- Identify the disputed material. Give each WorldFolder page, game server address, upload, world name, or other item you complain about, with enough detail and a URL, address, or timestamp for us to locate it.
- State the declarations. Confirm that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; confirm that the notice is accurate; and state that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner. If you want the notice to meet the US DMCA format, make the last statement under penalty of perjury; this is optional for notices under EU law.
- Sign the notice. Type the full legal name and include the date. An electronic signature such as “/s/ Full Legal Name” is acceptable for the initial notice process.
- Send it and await acknowledgement. Email the notice to the address above. If you provide an email address, we acknowledge receipt without undue delay. We may ask for missing information and share information needed for the affected person to respond, subject to applicable law. We tell you our decision and the available ways to challenge it. Submitting a notice does not guarantee removal.
Objecting to a decision
If you disagree with our decision, whether you sent the notice or your content was affected, reply to our decision email or write to the address above. Identify the decision and material, explain why you disagree and include any relevant information, such as permission to use the work. A person reviews your objection and explains the outcome. An ordinary objection under EU law does not require a statement under penalty of perjury or consent to a US court's jurisdiction. Your right to go to court remains unaffected. See also section 7 of the Terms.
Optional US DMCA counter-notice
If your material was removed or access was disabled and you want to submit a counter-notice in the US DMCA format, include:
- Your full name, address and telephone number, and an email address for our reply.
- Identification of the material removed or disabled and the location at which it appeared before removal or disabling.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located; if your address is outside the United States, for any judicial district in which the service provider may be found. Also state that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice or their agent.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Where the US DMCA counter-notice procedure applies, we forward the counter-notice to the original notifier and restore access between 10 and 14 business days after receiving it, unless we first receive notice that the notifier has filed a court action seeking to restrain the alleged infringement. The US format does not replace the ordinary EU reporting and objection routes above.
Legal references
The US notice and counter-notice elements are based on 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) and (g) and the US Copyright Office's guidance. If a notice does not identify the material or does not include the required statements, it may not be actionable under the DMCA process.
